Elegy
A lurching duality, like machine code disintegrating on physical media, undulates throughout, its ominous sound deforming the substrate. In a post-catastrophic moment, a logic system’s memory emits an existential phrase, awakened momentarily by a power surge: “I am machine…operator”. We hear its life force, pulsing through analog registers with the crackling static of electricity and melting capacitors. Sentience senses elegiac beauty as it fades to black, lamenting a world “...left to darkness…and to me.”

Jolly Birdie is Joe Aliberti, an ambient electronic musician and composer based in Baltimore, MD. Having recently performed on Star’s End on 88.5 WXPN, Aliberti creates music from a foundational belief that art emerges from an internal necessity. Aliberti presents his musical output without demand for understanding, its non-verbal language, open-ended and intentionally subjective.
Voice from the Machine
Reading, PA, USA
Voice From The Machine is the experimental electronic project of songwriter and composer Timothy Gordon Neher of Reading, PA. Typically an electronic pop act built around vocoded vocals and melodic synthesis, his Exposure Therapy debut strips the voice away, revealing raw yet precisely controlled modular sounds and rhythms.
